Yvonne Mery focuses her physiotherapy practice on running, sports, and orthopaedic injuries. She has been with the Nepean Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy Centre for over 20 years.
Yvonne Mery is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from McGill University in 1992. In addition to 28 years of clinical experience, Yvonne has taken several continuing education courses. Notably these include: Manual Therapy Level 3, Acupuncture, McKenzie A, Kinesio Tape, Mulligan Concepts, and the Lynn Watson Shoulder Course. She is also a certified Canfit Personal Trainer.
Additionally, Yvonne has experience in hospitals settings, private practice, and working with high-level athletic teams. Yvonne was Head Athletic Therapist for the McGill Varsity Men’s hockey team and the Carleton Men’s soccer team.
Yvonne’s main passion is running. She has completed seven marathons thus far, including the Boston Marathon. She is working towards completing all six World Major Marathons. Yvonne’s love of running has extended to her physiotherapy knowledge and has allowed her to provide running assessments and training advice as part of her practice.
Yvonne is an avid runner, completing several international marathons and is a Boston qualifier. Yvonne believes that an active life, no matter what level, is vital to one’s wellbeing.
