Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the assessment and manipulation of the soft tissues and joints of the body to affect a therapeutic response in the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction. It can be preventative or restorative, helping to maintain, rehabilitate, augment physical function or relieve pain. Massage therapy can help alleviate the soft tissue discomfort associated with everyday stress, massage therapymuscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes.  This includes sports injuries; sprains and strains; muscle tension and spasm; back, leg and neck pain; dislocations; inflammatory conditions, such as bursitis and arthritis; carpal tunnel syndrome; tendonitis; headaches; stress and stress related conditions; whiplash; post-surgical rehabilitation; as well as pregnancy and labour support.

Massage therapy benefits people of all ages.  While it does benefit the injured, the ill and the stressed, the real strength of massage therapy lies in prevention.
